Under the leadership of Micha Oh, CEO and visionary behind Tangjip, our mission is to bring the warmth and familiarity of Korean home-style cooking to every table. Micha Oh’s influence on the Bay Area’s Korean food scene is deep and lasting. A Seoul native who came to Oakland in the 1980s with a dream and humble beginnings, she built a thriving restaurant family over decades and emerged as a mentor and driving force for Korean cuisine in the region.

With more than 30 restaurants under her leadership, Micha has championed Korean food and culture — nurturing new talent, expanding opportunities, and blending time-honored tradition with modern expression.
